The Debate and Negotiation Fundamentals Course kicked off this morning as part of the “Political Diwan” program organized by the Midad Hadhramaut Center for Research and Strategic Studies, which aims to build a generation of young leaders capable of engaging in public affairs with competence and awareness.

The three-day course brings together a group of youth and activists interested in enhancing their skills in dialogue, conflict management, argument formulation, and effective negotiation techniques.

On the first day of training, 25 male and female participants received valuable insights from trainer Sadiq Yaqoob on topics including the concept and types of debates, the ethical dimensions of debating, position building, and other related skills and concepts.

This course comes as part of the Political Diwan’s vision to prepare a generation equipped with critical thinking tools, capable of articulating ideas clearly, and mastering the principles of constructive dialogue .
