In light of the accelerating changes taking place in Yemen, MIDAD Hadhramout Center emphasizes that reaching a consensual political agreement is essential for managing the coming phase, helping to reduce polarization and enhance the chances for political and security stability.

It highly appreciates the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s role in sponsoring and supporting the dialogue process among various groups, as it is an essential framework for creating an inclusive space for discussion and bridging differences of opinion, in order to serve the greater good and enhance the prospects of reaching a shared vision.

MIDAD Hadhramout Center believes that serious and responsible dialogue remains the most realistic option for dealing with the existing challenges, on condition that it is based on the principle of partnership and respect for political and geographical particularities, particularly Hadhramout’s unique nature and key role in any future settlement.

It emphasizes that the success of any agreement resulting from this dialogue remains subject to clear and binding political and operational guarantees that ensure compliance with what is agreed upon, prevent a recurrence of setbacks or breaches of agreements, and contribute to building trust among the various parties.

It also affirms that there is a national, regional, and international foundation upon which to build to ensure the robustness of the outcomes of Riyadh Conference, represented by the agreed-upon terms of competent authorities established over the past years, including: The Gulf Initiative and its Implementation Mechanism, the outcomes of Comprehensive National Dialogue Conference, Security Council resolutions relating to Yemen—particularly Resolution No. 2216—as well as Riyadh Agreement—specifically the reorganization of all armed forces under Ministry of Defense and Ministry of Interior—as a regulatory framework for the partnership and its arrangements. A clear indication of these authorities and their integration into the guarantees, implementation mechanisms, and follow-up procedures provides a framework that safeguards the agreements and supports their sustainability.

MIDAD Hadhramout Center renewed its support for all regional and local efforts that contribute to establishing a culture of dialogue, promoting a spirit of consensus, and moving toward a stable and sustainable political path that serves citizens’ aspirations for a secure and prosperous future.
